Perfect for a visit to Split
This hotel is perfect for a first time, short stay in Split. Situated inside the walls of Diocletian’s Palace so you are immersed in the antiquity of the place right from the start. All of the famous sites and sights of Split are within a short walk from the hotel. There are numerous bars and restaurants (and gelaterias!) throughout the old town. The Riva (just outside the walls) is a great place to sit and people watch. It’s a fifteen minute walk to the stairs that lead up to the first view point in Marjan Park, which is worth it for a nice view over the town.
The hotel sent great instructions via WhatsApp to guide us to the hotel which made it super easy to locate. There are a few steps to negotiate but quite manageable. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. In contrast to the exterior of the building, the interior of the hotel is very smart and modern. Our double room was small but not cramped and more than adequate for our three night stay. Breakfast is served in or outside the restaurant downstairs. Being a small hotel the choice was a bit limited but more than sufficient, with eggs cooked to order as well. When it came time to checkout our bags were stored for us until later in the day when it came time to leave for the airport.
Absolutely no regrets about choosing Hotel Slavija for our first visit to Split.

Great hotel, staff and location
Lovely hotel.
Great location in the palace, old town.
Easy to find with directions from hotel, short walk from bus station.
Rooms and all areas of hotel exceptionally clean.
Every member of staff we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful, especially all the staff on the reception desk.
Nice touch with fridge in room and water when we arrived.
Would have no hesitation in recommending.
