according to Tripadvisor travelers as of March 2026
Located in Hotel Vestibul Palace a luxury boutique hotel, MAGNUS Restaurant is a culinary tribute to the heritage of Split's history , fusing local flavors with the avant-garde. To complement the flavors of our dishes, the wine list focuses on the best regional and national endemic varieties. The restaurant is named after Magnus Severus, who after the fall of Salona organized the return of the inhabitants who had fled to the islands and brought them back to the Palace after Emperor Diocletian. This was the beginning of medieval Split. MAGNUS Restaurant uses organic and local ingredients using a farm to table approach, sourced from Dalmatian’s untouched islands and hinterland, where the ancestors of Split originated.

Local dinner experience
Started the course with a perfect cheese platter paired with a great wine. Experience then culminated with an amazing fish fillet, highly recommended. There was little room for desert so I took a lemon curd just to sweeten it up a bit! Lovely night all-together.
Thank you for the hospitality and all the best.

A Perfect Taste of Tradition
I enjoyed a perfectly prepared pašticada – the sauce was rich and full of flavor, and the gnocchi soaked up every bit of it beautifully. The recommended white wine was light and aromatic, perfectly complementing the dish. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

Great taste of traditional Croatian cuisine with a flair.
Our meal here was fantastic, I had the lamb steak and my wife had the sea bass. Both were cooked to perfection, the steak had a nice crust and sear, and the sea bass had delightful crispy skin.
We are so thankful the resident sommelier was there to assist us in wine pairings. He was very knowledgeable.
Would recommend!

Fantastic wines and service
We have just enjoyed the most fantastic wine tasting experience. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of wine tasting, production and history of wine in the region.
The wines provided were incredible accompanied by very tasty tapas.
At €35, this was amazing value and definitely recommend.
