Fantasy island

I haven’t written a review on this website for a while now, as I get older I guess I become more cynical about the accuracy and authenticity of the feedback displayed. However this hotel has dragged me out of my literacy retirement and I hope that it encourages more people to enjoy this tiny corner of an island not far from Split. From the moment we got picked up in a motor launch from the harbour at Hvar and whisked away across the Med we were in for a treat. We were met by the manager of the hotel complex at the jetty in a beautiful bay surrounded by trees. You can’t really see the hotel as the buildings are hidden away to honour strict planning criteria. We were taken to our room which was stunning. It had its own hot tub and pool and a myriad of gadgets and controls to illuminate, warm or change the space. It was superb. As was the food and the attention offered by the hotel staff. The hotel was quiet as it was early in the season which was not a problem but it did get a bit chilly in the evenings. Not that this bothered us at all. We felt thoroughly spoilt and privileged to be there. We passed our time walking around the island, using the sports equipment, eating, relaxing and staring out across the beautiful bay. We stayed four nights and left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Even an old cynic like me had a great time!
