Speakeasy Vibes in Dubrovnik!
We were on the hunt for a speakeasy in Dubrovnik. Although this is not one, you feel transported into a New York City speakeasy vibe, but better. Mr. Fosters is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. and also exceptional drinks! Many of their liquors and syrups are handmade. We were greeted by the bartender with a welcome aperitif drink and table nuts. My ladies drink was a delicious sweet sherry, while my husbands was a dry vermouth. I ordered the Edison, a gin drink with flavors of lemon, lime and orange, not only was it delicious, but the delivery and presentation made me giddy! It came in a box, which when opened had my drink LIT UP! My husbands first drink was the Mina, which featured a blend of whisky, gin, lemon, honey and vanilla. He loved it! His next drink was the Sherlock, another whisky drink which came with a cute mustache 🥸 Aside from the great service, the decor was a really awesome steampunk vibe. Surrounded by books, pipes, old furniture, chess boards, we felt like we were in another world taken back in time. The restaurant has outdoor seating as well, which is where most of the people were, but we really wanted to sit inside and have the full experience and enjoy the cool surroundings. This was about a 20 minute walk from Old Town. Worth every step.. huge plus, the drink prices were absolutely reasonable!
