The Adriatic from a private boat is a genuinely magical experience. The colour of the water changes as you move through different depths, from deep navy to brilliant turquoise in the shallows, and it is endlessly mesmerising. Our captain seemed to delight in our reactions to the scenery, pointing out new wonders at every turn. We came back completely enchanted with Croatia and already planning to return.
