Best way to travel the Dalmatian coast

My husband and I were travelling between Hvar and Dubrovnik and decided to splurge on the private boat rather than take the public ferry. Best decision of the entire trip. Our skipper, a warm and knowledgeable local man, pointed out historical details along the coastline that we would never have noticed otherwise. The boat was modern, clean, and equipped with cold drinks and snacks. We stopped for a swim on a small uninhabited island and watched an enormous pod of dolphins for about twenty minutes from the bow. The journey itself became the experience. Arrived in Dubrovnik relaxed and exhilarated rather than tired and delayed. Cannot recommend highly enough.
