Spectacular transfer from Hvar to Dubrovnik by private boat

We had dreaded the return journey from Hvar to Dubrovnik — the ferry options are slow and the catamaran connections awkward. He paused for a half-hour swim stop in a completely deserted cove on the island of Brač — not on any map we had seen — then continued at a steady pace along the coast of Pelješac before the walled city of Dubrovnik came into view from the sea. Arriving by boat into the old harbour, with the ramparts rising above us, is simply the finest way to arrive in Dubrovnik.
