The most beautiful water I've ever swum in

The water around the Croatian islands is something I was not prepared for — perfectly clear, deep blue fading to turquoise in the shallows, and utterly clean. Our captain found us two bays where we could dive to the sandy bottom and see every grain of sand. After lunch at a lovely island konoba we swam again and I never wanted to come back. The tour was wonderfully organised and the captain a real pleasure to spend the day with.
