About This Activity

A Private Day Across Dubrovnik's Southern Islands

Saplunara and Limuni

Saplunara and nearby Limuni are the heart of the day: sheltered sandy bays, clear shallows, and time to swim or relax. Lunch is not included, leaving your group free to choose a local stop with guidance from the skipper.

Elaphiti islands

The return route threads through the Elaphite Islands. Pause by peaceful Jakljan before continuing to Sipan, known for small waterfront settlements, historic summer residences, and unhurried island scenery.

Island Hopping in Dubrovnik: A Boat Tour Review (Snorkeling & More)

Lovely day spent cruising around the islands. The guide was kind but sometimes hard to hear over the boat’s engine noise. Water was stunningly clear for snorkeling, but some equipment seemed worn out. Would’ve liked more fresh gear, but still a fun day out. 👍

Marculeti....

Fantastic day spent with captain Lopo, visiting the various islands and bays that are included in this tour. He immediately grasped our sensibilities and led us to snorkeling locations that were less crowded, more peaceful, and less "covered" in visitors. After that, he drove us to an incredible cove known as Marculeti with amazing sandy beach. In the afternoon, we make a lunch stop at Bowa. Another opportunity to cool off in the water on the way back, this time surrounded by the stunning limestone, and then it was time to drive back home as the sun sank. The boat was in pristine condition, and the staff provided exceptional service. It is well worth the money to travel the length of the Dalmatian coast and visit Dubrovnik.

Relaxing day on a beautiful boat.

Captain Peter was amazing! He was very personable, professional and overall a super nice person. There were only my husband and I on the boat. The boat is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It was not a dilapidated boat. Peter tailored the trip to our requests and took us to a restaurant on one of the small islands where my husband and I had a phenomenal lunch! Peter put everything together and we didn't feel rushed that day. I highly recommend this boat and especially Captain Peter. Thank you Peter! We will definitely book with you next time we are in Dubrovnik.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Mljet, Elafiti and Bowa route different from a standard island tour?

This is one of the most ambitious Dubrovnik private boat days because it combines Mljet, the Elaphiti (Elafiti) Islands, and a Bowa-style Sipan lunch stop in one route. It is built for guests who want a long, varied day rather than a simple nearby-island swim.

How long is the private South Mljet and Elaphite Islands boat tour?

The experience lasts approximately eight hours, departing from and returning to Port Gruz in Dubrovnik.

Do we visit both Mljet and the Elafiti Islands on the same day?

Yes, that is the idea of this route. With an early start and suitable sea conditions, the boat can reach Mljet highlights such as Saplunara or Odysseus-area swimming, then return through the Elafiti Islands with stops around Kolocep, Lopud, Sipan, or Bowa depending on timing.

How many guests can join this private boat trip?

The boat accommodates a maximum of six passengers. Because the trip is private, the group controls the pace together with the skipper.

Which places are included in the route?

The planned route includes Blue Cave, Saplunara and Limuni on southern Mljet, Jakljan Island, and Sipan before returning to Dubrovnik. The skipper may adjust the order or individual stops for weather, sea conditions, and guest preferences.

Is Bowa restaurant part of this Mljet and Elafiti itinerary?

Bowa is a signature lunch option on Sipan and can be planned into the day when availability and timing work. Restaurant reservations, minimum spends, national park entries, and any extras are confirmed in the final offer rather than assumed automatically.

Who should book the Mljet, Elafiti and Bowa private tour?

Book this tour if you want a premium full-day island expedition with longer cruising, Mljet scenery, Elafiti coves, and a destination lunch. If your group wants mostly swimming near Dubrovnik with less travel time, a dedicated Elafiti Islands tour will usually feel more relaxed.

What equipment and amenities are included on board?

A professional skipper, drinks, fins, masks, snorkels, floaties, towels, a bimini sunshade, GPS, and a portable fridge are included.

Are fuel and lunch included?

No. The source lists a €230 fuel surcharge payable separately, and lunch is not included. Your skipper can help shape the lunch stop around the day’s route.

How much does a private Elafiti Islands speedboat tour cost?

Speedboat Cost Estimator

Choose the speedboat class that matches your style, pace, and comfort level:

Boat Type Duration Estimated Base Price Key Amenities Typically Included
Medium class speedboat Half-Day (4h) €320 - €450+ Skipper & fuel, open bar (boat fridge), ice, snorkel gear, towels
High class speedboat Half-Day (4h) €500 - €750+ Skipper & fuel, open bar (boat fridge), ice, snorkel gear, towels
Executive speedboat Full-Day (8h) €620 - €900+ Skipper & fuel, all the above plus underwater cameras or paddleboards

Your final quote depends on route, season, pickup point, boat model, fuel usage, and any tailored extras.

What should we bring?

Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Personal medication and a light layer are also sensible for a full day at sea.

Is fuel included in the advertised boat tour price?

No, fuel costs will be presented after you submit inquiry based on your chosen itinerary.

Are skipper, towels, and pickup included in the quoted boat tour price?

Yes. Skipper, towels, and pickup are included in the quoted price. If you are staying at a hotel with its own marina, we can come by boat to pick you up directly there.

Is this boat tour wheelchair accessible?

No. The activity is not wheelchair accessible.

Are drinks included on board?

Yes, a basic selection of chilled drinks is included on board.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

The route depends on safe sea and weather conditions. If the operator must cancel because of bad weather, the source states that guests may reschedule or receive a refund; confirm the applicable terms when booking.

Open 34 additional common questions Close

More common travel questions

What places will we visit?

The places you visit depend on the specific private boat tour, yacht route, weather conditions and the time available on the water. Each product page lists its own suggested itinerary and main highlights.

For Dubrovnik private boat and yacht experiences, routes may include islands, secluded bays, swimming stops, coastal towns, caves, Boka Bay, Montenegro coastline or other points of interest depending on the selected tour. Final routing is agreed before departure and may be adjusted by the captain for safety and sea conditions.

Who is this shore excursion designed for?

This itinerary is designed for cruise passengers who need smooth port logistics, efficient Old Town highlights, and a reliable return-to-ship buffer.

Can the private boat route be customized?

Yes. Most private boat tours and yacht experiences can be customized within the confirmed duration of the tour. You can usually adjust the balance between sightseeing, panorama cruising, swimming, lunch, time ashore and direct transfer time.

The final route always depends on yacht availability, weather, sea conditions, port rules and, for cross-border routes such as Dubrovnik to Montenegro, border formalities.

What is included in the 850 EUR special offer?

The offer includes a private yacht, professional skipper, fuel surcharge, snorkeling equipment, and a curated 4-hour route with cave and swim stops.

What private boat tour versions and combinations are available?

Private boat tours from Dubrovnik can be arranged in different versions depending on the selected product, yacht or speedboat class, destination, duration and preferred pace. Some routes are focused on swimming and hidden bays, others on coastal sightseeing, island hopping, lunch stops, transfers or cross-border yacht routes such as Dubrovnik to Montenegro.

Combinations are possible when they fit safely within the confirmed tour duration. The final plan is agreed before departure and may be adjusted according to weather, sea conditions, port rules and captain recommendation.

How many guests can join this yacht tour?

The special offer covers up to 10 travellers in one private group.

Does this include cruise port pickup and return?

Yes. We coordinate pickup and return timing to match your ship schedule so your city visit stays stress-free.

Can we customize the route?

Yes. Your skipper can adapt the route based on weather, sea conditions, and your preferences for more swimming, more cruising, or balanced pacing.

How is this different from your private walking tour product?

This shore-excursion version is route-optimized for cruise timing and operational certainty. The classic private walking tour is a broader city immersion with more flexible pacing for guests staying in Dubrovnik.

What is the price on this boat trip and do you need to prebook

Prices you can view under the options tab. You can choose to reserve now and pay later for this tour.

Is this tour suitable for families with children?

Yes. The yacht option is especially comfortable for families thanks to additional space, easier movement onboard, and smoother cruising.

What is a difference between your boat classes (medium, high, executive, luxury)

At first, the difference is in the size of the boat, which represents how many people feel comfortable on such a boat to enjoy the sea. Then, if you are not already familiar, the ships have different equipment and designs.

Most medium-class boats are with outboard motors up to 6.5 meters long. Then come high-class boats with inboard engines, which is not necessarily the case. The biggest difference between medium and high-class boats is in the equipment and design. The high-class speedboat is mostly sporty and recommended for up to 4 people, while the medium class is recommended for 2 people.

Executive boats are 8-9 meters in size, newer years with outboard or inboard engines, but all have toilets. In the Executive class of boats, we are talking about luxury speedboats of recent years with a lot of equipment and an attractive appearance.

Motor yachts are 9 - 11 meters long, with a saloon, flybridge, kitchen, and stern for swimming. Executive motor yachts are 11 - 14 meters long, but more recently built.

Luxury yachts are a story by themselves, this is really about great luxury for people who demand such a service.

If you are not sure what kind of boat you want, consider that the captain of the boat is responsible for providing you with the best possible service. All our captains are professionals and will do everything for you to have a great time.

How long is the experience?

It is planned as a compact highlight route suitable for common cruise windows, with exact duration confirmed against your docking schedule.

Is boat shaded

Yes, shade is a must when enjoying Dubrovnik waters!

How is this different from the speedboat tour?

The yacht tour prioritizes comfort and space for larger groups, while the speedboat tour is faster, more agile, and typically better value for smaller parties.

What if my ship arrival or departure time changes?

Our team adapts pickup/route timing around your updated schedule whenever operationally possible.

In case of bad weather would you offer me a full refund.
  • All our boat tours and private excursions are 100% refundable if canceled by us due to unfavorable or unsafe weather conditions.

  • You can reschedule your trip for a later date with no expiration or receive a full refund. Your cancellation email will have instructions on how to re-book your trip or request a refund.

We are visiting Dubrovnik in April / October / November and we would like to know if you privide day tours during this month. Thank you!

Is there bathroom / toilet on boat.
  • Medium-class boats are not equipped with toilets.
  • Some of the high-class category speed boats have toilets.
  • All executive-class speedboats have toilets and some have bathrooms also.
  • Motor yachts, Executive motor yachts, and Luxury yachts have bathrooms (more than one)
What is you cancellation policy
  • Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour in order to receive a full refund.
  • No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of your scheduled cruise, or no-shows.
How much does a private boat or yacht tour from Dubrovnik cost?

The price depends on the selected route, tour duration, boat or yacht class, group size, season, fuel requirements and any optional services such as lunch, transfers, guides or special arrangements.

Shorter Dubrovnik boat tours usually have a different price structure than full-day private yacht routes or cross-border experiences such as Dubrovnik to Montenegro. For tailor-made routes, we confirm the final price in the personalized offer before booking.

Do we only cruise by boat, or can we also stop ashore?

Both options are possible on most private boat and yacht tours. Some guests prefer a relaxed panorama cruise with swimming stops, while others want time ashore for sightseeing, lunch or a short walk in a coastal town.

Stops ashore depend on the selected destination, local docking options, weather, sea conditions and the total tour duration. The captain and operations team will help shape a realistic route for the time available.

How many guests are joining you on the boat?

All our boat tours are private, without joined travellers. We can accommodate the number of guests permitted by the specific boat's licence, so please tell us your group size and we will recommend the best option.

Do you prefer a sleek, fast speedboat for exploring caves, or a large motor yacht with a shaded cabin and lounge decks?

Please contact us with your preferences and group details. We can offer everything from sleek speedboats for cave hopping to large motor yachts with shaded cabins and spacious lounge decks, and we will help match you with the right boat.

Are you celebrating a special occasion, like a birthday, honeymoon, or anniversary?

If you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us know in advance. We can help arrange special touches on board such as balloons, candles, drinks, and other decorations to make the experience more personal.
