Do I need to be religious or Orthodox to visit?
Not at all. Ostrog and Cetinje Monastery are open to all visitors regardless of faith. The sites are treated with respect; guests are expected to dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered).
Is the climb to Ostrog Upper Monastery difficult?
The road to the Lower Monastery is by car. From there, the path to the Upper Monastery is a 15–20 minute walk on a paved path with some steep sections. Sturdy shoes recommended. Not suitable for guests with significant mobility limitations.
